Excursion to Tiout And Taroudant

The ancient red-walled city of Taroudant is sometimes referred to as 'Little Marrakech', but that description does not do it justice. Hidden by magnificent red mud walls and snow-capped peaks s of the High Atlas beyond, the souk and squares of Taroudant have a mystical atmosphere. the Berbers trade the produce of the fertile Oued Souss plain. There are no must-see sites. Instead, the medina is a place to wander around and linger. The two souks are well worth a visit, more relaxed than Marrakech, but with a bustling atmosphere. which is absent at Agadir. With the Little Western Atlas explored, the Anti Atlas and the coast to coast. nearby, the town is a good base for trekking and activities. only 65 km away inside Al-Massira airport, it is a more atmospheric gathering point to/from the airport than it is.
